So What If You Can't Pitch A Tent

Some people believe that having a healthy amount of self-esteem depends on how good they are at performing tasks, such as being competent at their job, for example.

However, self-worth should not depend how good you are at tasks.

Take my grandfather as an example.  He was an intelligent man.  But he couldn't pitch a tent.  He was so uncoordinated.

But the fact that he wasn't good at certain tasks such as pitching a tent didn't make everyone else as well as myself love him any less.  And it didn't make me dislike him more either.

Hence, I don't think anyone should feel low about themselves just because they may not be as good as others at certain tasks.  There is more to a person than how competent he or she is at performing tasks.
